One of my New Year’s resolutions, besides to be happy, is to be more adventurous. I’m saying “YES” to new activities, to everything, to all things! You never know whether you’ll enjoy something or not until you try it.
Blogging has always been one of my dreams. I have long aspired to have my very own blog. However, it is also one of my biggest fears. I am not a native English speaker and writing can be challenging. What if I make grammar mistakes? What if people don’t like what I’m sharing? What if it’s not interesting nor fun to read? …. A lot of “what ifs” crossed my mind countless times and you wouldn’t believe how many times I deleted what I wrote and rewrote the whole thing.
Cutting through all those doubtful small voices in my head, I heard my mom’s voice. She always told me “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will”.
So ‘NO’, I’m going to stop thinking and start doing.
And ‘YES’ I’m doing this, enjoying it and feeling invigorated!
Fun fact: Do you know that , from the study by Warwick University, happy people are 12% more productive? It’s simple, human happiness has significant positive causal effects on productivity. Happy people are passionate, innovative and they have this contagious positive vibe which works to affect the people around them and spread the merriment. By combining happiness and marketing together, you will get one of the world’s most awesome combinations, “a Happy Marketer”.
I also love telling stories to family and friends. Stories are great and sharing them brings people together. One of the perks of living in this globalized world where technology is developing at such a fast pace and opportunities are boundless is to have a voice and be able to share your own thoughts with a wider audience.
I’m very excited and can’t wait to share my passion for digital marketing with anyone who cares to listen and I’m also just as keen to hear your thoughts and comments.
Here we go. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy my blog stories. I do hope with all my heart you will love reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. And most importantly…
